recipe: chocolate chip + banana bread
I'm not a big fan of bananas, I always feel like I'm eating mushy baby food when I bite into one. But baked with chocolate chips? Yes, please. I found a recipe online and tweaked it a little bit to make this version. It came out super moist and delicious. I will definitely be making this again with our next batch of ignored bananas.
ingredients: 3/4 cup room temp butter, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 5 tsp milk, 3 over-ripe bananas (mashed), 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I used mini)
Preheat oven to 350. Combine the butter and sugar and whip until combined/fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and combine. Add the mashed bananas and milk and mix for about 1 minute. Add flour and baking soda and mix until just combined. Mix in the chocolate chips. Grease 2 loaf pans, split batter evenly between them, and bake for 35-45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Let cool and enjoy!
