diy: animal keychains

IMG_1894
A while back, I thrifted a bag of plastic toy animals. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably already saw the BFF giraffe keychains I made (my best friend and I are tall gals). These are simple to make and the possibilities are endless!

what you need: plastic animal(s), small screw eye hook, paint/brush, key ring, *optional: clear sealant spray

Start by picking which color paint you want to use, and do 2-3 coats of paint on your animal. Wait until it's completely dry before moving on. (To keep your paint from eventually chipping away, it's a good idea to spray it with a clear craft sealant like this one).

Screw in the eye hook by pressing and tightening firmly with pliers (it takes a few turns to break the plastic and get it started). Once your screw is in, attach your key ring and keys. Enjoy!
